You're invited to join us Thursday 9/10 at 1pm ET for a virtual roundtable discussion on Infrastructure Agility and Modernization for the Enterprise in Transition. This conversation will be expertly moderated by CIO Contributing Editor Charles Pelton and hosted by Citrix.

Virtual Roundtables are learning and networking opportunities for IT executives (i.e., C-level, VP and director titles) from organizations with 500 or more employees. Attendees must be involved in the purchase, evaluation and recommendation of IT products/services; and/or have IT policy responsibility within their organization. All applications to attend are carefully reviewed and their information verified. Registrants will be notified promptly about the status of their application. Analysts, venture capitalists, sales, marketing or consulting staff from non-sponsoring technology or technology-related companies do not qualify to attend. All participants are subject to IDG approval.

Hosted by CIO and Citrix

Virtual Roundtable By CIO (Sept. 14th)
Monday, September 14th, 2020
Apply to attend today.

"In this virtual roundtable we'll discuss how today's organizations strive to innovate more quickly, reduce downtime, and collaborate more efficiently. The key to turbocharging an enterprise rests on three key principles: how effectively you employ search, how well you understand logging and metrics, and how well you secure your resources. When all three of these IT processes operate at maximum capacity, you can deliver more value with less effort to both employees and customers, whether you operate in an environment that's B2C, B2B - or both.

Join CIO contributing editor, Charles Pelton and subject matter experts from our partner, Elastic, for a private, interactive, one-hour, virtual roundtable on the topic of innovation and new approaches to search, resource visibility, and security.

Securing Hybrid Enterprise Infrastructures Across a Distributed Workplace (Sept. 15th)
Tuesday, September 15th, 2020: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
online

Join Lane Cooper, Contributing editor of CSO.com, experts from Thales and security leaders from around the country for an interactive virtual roundtable discussion on the strategies that will effectively secure hybrid infrastructure across today's hyper-distributed workplace.

We'll address how while the overwhelming majority of business transformation and technology modernization initiatives are focused on moving significant workloads to cloud infrastructures and platforms, most organizations will continue to operate a combination of data centers, private-cloud and public-cloud resources for the foreseeable future.

This heterogeneous environment introduces a high level of complexity and risk, which helps explain why - despite overall reductions in IT budgets - 62% of organizations are expected to increase cybersecurity spending in 2020, while another 36% will keep cybersecurity budgets flat. The key question, however, revolves around whether the investments being made today are aligned with the realities of today's threat landscape.

Join us and see the difference: a professionally moderated conversation that's valuable, on point and full of the answers you've been seeking. Apply to attend today.

Hosted by CSO and Thales

Reduce the Costs And Risks Associated With IT Modernization Projects (Sept. 24th)
Monday, September 14th, 2020
Apply to attend today.

During this virtual roundtable, we'll discuss how even though a key component of any digital transformation strategy is improving the customer experience, only 72% of enterprise executives believe that access to data is a major bottleneck to a modern customer experience. To remove this data bottleneck, enterprises must leverage modern data management practices enabling the synchronization of data across systems and clouds.

Join us as we discuss these topics and more:

  • DataOps Methodology
  • The benefits of synchronizing data across systems to test applications that orchestrate customer workflow
  • Creating agility for core application updates with on-demand data
  • How to streamline the CI/CD pipeline to release features faster
  • Securing data to share with teams inside and outside your organization

The CIO virtual roundtable experience, in partnership with Delphix, delivers:

  • A live video meeting led by Ken Piddington, CIO Contributing Editor.
  • An intimate, gathering of senior IT leaders, from diverse industries, all grappling with similar issues.
  • A secure, private conversation open only to a carefully vetted group (no recording, no playback).

Space is limited so apply today. All participants are subject to IDG approval.

Sponsored by CIO and Delphix.

Mob Programming and the Power of Flow
Wednesday, September 9th, 2020: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Five or more people working on one computer?! How can that possibly be productive?

While this seems like a reasonable question, it's not easily answered - until we begin to understand the power of flow.

Mob Programming grew from the quest of one team to learn how to work well together. After many months of learning and experimenting, we stumbled upon the idea of working together in a highly collaborative manner we called "Mob Programming". Once we started working this way we almost immediately noticed that it provided better results in a variety of ways:
