CloudReady and Azule - An effective solution to working and learning from home

Chromium OS has been heralded for its unparalleled speed, simplicity and security but you don't need a Chromebook to enjoy its benefits. Neverware has developed CloudReady, an OS based on Chromium that will allow you to run the OS on any computer. Don't discard that old computer. Learn how to turn that equipment into a high performing device to let your employees or students work or learn from home in an easy, quick and safe manner.

You will also learn how new mini PCs, designed by our own South Florida based Azulle, utilizes the technology in CloudReady to put power in small affordable devices. From Home Entertainment, IOT, Digital Signage and Remote Work these little computers can solve many challenges at a fraction of the cost of other solutions.

Speakers

Andrew Bauer, CEO of Neverware

An early-stage technology company based in New York that is challenging the status quo of desktop operating systems with its flagship product, CloudReady OS. Thousands of schools, businesses, and consumers in 135 countries around the world use CloudReady daily via the company's Education, Enterprise, and Home Editions. Through Andrew's guidance and leadership, Neverware has established partnerships with Google, Microsoft, AWS, and Samsung. Andrew also directed the company through its Series B round of investment in 2017, which was led by Google LLC.

Alex Rodriguez, CEO and founder of Azulle

What started as a company creating just one core product, has grown to 3 advanced product lines of fanless mini PCs, all with different generations and variations. Alex credits his diverse team of passionate and creative members for Azulle's continuing success.

Tuesday, May 26th, 2020: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

For many years, the Scaled Agile Framework or SAFe has been a leading scaling methodology for large enterprises wanting to apply agile practices for large groups of individuals. In the SAFe model, however, the term Business Analyst doesn't exist. In this informative talk, we will discuss the SAFe 5.0 framework and provide some context on how Busines Analysts would survive and thrive in such an environment/implementation of the Scaled Agile Framework.

Are you a Business Analysts in a traditional waterfall environment or a Product Owner in Agile environments that have not yet adopted SAFe?

Spark NLP for Healthcare Data Scientists Virtual Training
Wednesday, May 13th, 2020: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Many critical facts required by healthcare AI applications - like patient risk prediction, cohort selection, automated clinical coding, and clinical decision support - are locked in unstructured free-text data. Recent advances in deep learning have raised the bar on achievable accuracy for tasks like named entity recognition, assertion status detection, entity resolution, deidentification, and others.

Spark NLP for Healthcare provides production-grade, scalable, and trainable implementation of novel healthcare-specific natural language processing (NLP) algorithms and models. The product is licensed by John Snow Labs, the creator of Spark NLP, and provides data scientists with a library and pre-trained models for the most common medical NLP tasks. This is a hands-on workshop that will enable you to write, edit, and run Python notebooks that use the product's functionality.

NIST Privacy Framework
Saturday, May 23rd, 2020: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
online

As security professionals we should be aware of the rising importance of privacy and privacy regulations. Most states have privacy regulations. The EU's GDPR upped the ante adding the ideas of 'right to be forgotten' and 'privacy by design'. Now the new CCPR of California may lead to further new privacy laws in the US.

In answer to this, NIST started to worked on a new Privacy Framework in a similar style to their Cybersecurity Framework. It was finally released earlier this year. But how does it compare with the CSF and how would it be used? Michael Brown, a local security professional familiar with the NIST CSF and some experience with privacy regulations will present an introduction on the Privacy Framework as well as resources to help you become more knowledgeable.

Coders Cafe - Logging in .Net Core using Serilog and MongoDB - Sam Abraham
Tuesday, May 19th, 2020: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

.Net Core offers a very modular logging mechanism that gives us the ability to register one or more providers that can 'listen in' and act on messages of interest. One provider, Serilog, is well regarded as a high-performance structured logging package featuring a rich set of 'sinks' for writing log events to storage in various formats. One interesting sink implementation is for MongoDB, a popular NoSQL, Document-based database.

Join us in this talk as we demonstrate how to easily incorporate Serilog into a .Net Core project and configure it to log to MongoDB. We will present an overview of MongoDB and discuss our architecture decisions and reasoning for leveraging Serilog and MongoDB for high-performance logging.

This is a group for IT Sales and Marketing Professionals to meet with their peers, learn from each other and share referrals.

Meet with peers, learn from each other and share referrals in a relaxed informal event.

In-person meetups are suspended until the COVID-19 thread is diminished and public gathering are again allowed, we will run the next meetups as Zoom video conferences.

I will ask each participant to introduce themselves - who are you, what do you do, what does your company do, etc.

That will be followed by an open discussion.
